This two-day workshop will be conducted by artist Tan Kian Ming, who will introduce an initial understanding of the art's historical context and the development of creative forms to the participants. This is a paper-based rubbing workshop, where the artist will introduce various rubbing techniques including dry rubbing, wet rubbing, and aluminium rubbing. Participants will be having a hands-on time rubbing some found-objects and further to the old street, Jalan Ismail. Throughout the theory and practice in the workshop, we hope to inspire participants' creative thinking and the possibility of observing things from different perspectives.

 

本次工作坊將由藝術家陳建泯指導為期兩天的藝術創作課程，透過講解藝術史脈絡以及創作形式的養成讓參與者對藝術創作的實踐有初步的認識。物件採集（紙本拓印）是本次工作坊的主軸，藝術家將介紹多種拓印技術，邀請參與者提供可拓印現成物並以居鑾依士邁老街作為據點進行實地拓印採集。透過理論以及實務操作的配合，希望能夠啟發參與者們的創作思維和不同視角觀察日常事物的可能性。
